Shifting Perspectives on Talent

Today’s workforce is shifting from hiring to accessing talent. This shift challenges us to rethink the boundaries between internal and external talent. What if we focused less on contract types and more on contribution? What if external collaboration was something to build on, not just fall back on?

That’s what we explored together. Prof. Dr. Sofie Jacobs (Antwerp Management School), Marleen Deleu (NextConomy), and our own Edward Vanhoutte and Natalie Moriau sparked a conversation on sustainable freelance careers, total talent strategies, and HR’s evolving role in integrating all talent into its strategy.

Introducing Beam

The evening also marked the celebration of Beam. Our previous name, Balance HR, stood for continuity, bringing balance to HR teams and interim managers. But that no longer told the whole story. We also stand for sustainable impact. That’s why we became Beam.

Effective interim management isn’t just about filling gaps. It’s also about leaving teams and interim managers stronger.

Like a beam of light, we aim to bring clarity and direction and to help others shine. Our name reflects how we’ve grown, combining continuity and impact, with an open view on talent.
