Shine a Light on Talent
𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳’𝘴 𝘝𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵, 2026
A new year invites reflection. On how we experience work today. And on how we can make it better tomorrow.
Work shapes how our days unfold, both at work and at home.
For many, work has become more demanding. More complex. More intense. HR is often the first to feel the pressure, while striving to create continuity and impact across organisations and teams.
At Beam, we believe there’s another way. Not by doing more, but by organising work differently and by seeing talent differently.
It starts with you
When are you at your best at work? What gives you energy? And what would you like to grow into?
When people can openly share their strengths, interests and aspirations, work aligns more naturally.
Goals gain meaning. Feedback becomes more forward-looking and relevant.
Personalising work
Shining a light on talent also means shaping work around people.
Not squeezing people into predefined roles, but adapting roles, responsibilities and expectations to what people need to do their best work.
When work is better aligned with people, pressure eases. Talent can grow and contribute with impact.
Seeing all talent
Talent is not defined by contract type.
Today’s workforce is shifting from hiring to accessing talent. This shift invites us to look beyond payroll and focus on contribution.
Within a strategic total talent approach, internal teams and external experts strengthen each other. A flexible layer of external expertise helps to ensure continuity and impact.
Broadening our perspective also means questioning rigid vacancy profiles and fixed requirements. Even in a tight labour market, the challenge is not always a lack of people, but the opportunity to take a more open view on talent.
Looking ahead to 2026
In 2026, we want to take this perspective one step further.
Together with YouthStart, we’ll support young people at the start of their professional journey by involving our community as mentors.
YouthStart has long been committed to supporting young people whose talents don’t always fit traditional definitions, helping them build confidence and discover new perspectives on their future.
By combining mentoring with evidence-based insights and practical tools from the Beam Book, we aim to help them explore their talent and shape their path ahead.
Let’s shine a light on talent.
And make work better, together.
