Freelance HR Manager (ref: 26007)

ORGANISATION

Our client is a Belgian retail group operating as a central service organisation supporting a network of independent and franchise stores. 

YOUR ROLE

As Freelance HR Manager, you will support the organisation in strengthening and structuring its HR function during a period of growth and change.

Working closely with the CEO and management team, you will help define and implement a clear HR vision, strategy and policies, while remaining close to the business and employees.

You are responsible for:

• Developing and implementing HR vision, strategy and policies aligned with business growth

• Strengthening company culture and values and embedding them across the organisation

• Acting as a sparring partner for the CEO and management team and proactively relieving them on HR topics

• Coaching and supporting the internal HR colleague and helping her grow in her role

• Reviewing and optimising compensation & benefits, including mobility and training frameworks

• Supporting job grading and role clarification

• Driving talent management topics such as recruitment, onboarding, development and retention

• Supporting employer branding and positioning as an attractive employer

• Setting up HR structures such as a job framework, learning & development approach and engagement initiatives

• Conducting an HR scan to identify priorities and improvement areas

• Supporting change management in a pragmatic and people-oriented way

YOUR PROFILE

• You have strong experience as an HR Manager / HR Business Partner, ideally in retail or a comparable operational environment

• You are comfortable working in flat, small and entrepreneurial organisation

• You combine strategic insight with a hands-on, pragmatic approach

• You have a coaching leadership style and enjoy working close to the business

• You are proactive, take initiative and are not afraid to challenge and guide stakeholders

• You are fluent in Dutch and French
