Freelance Reward & HR Legal Expert

Our client is a Brussels-based organisation active in the field of HR Services. 

YOUR ROLE

As a Reward and HR Legal Expert, you ensure that compensation & benefits solutions offered to clients are compliant with Belgian social law and tax regulations.

You act as a bridge between legal, product and commercial teams, helping them make correct and pragmatic decisions.

During this assignment, you will:

• Advise on how compensation & benefits solutions can be structured in line with Belgian legislation
• Support product and sales teams in understanding legal constraints and opportunities
• Assess new initiatives or changes from a legal and tax perspective
• Provide clear guidance in complex or ambiguous cases
• Act as a key point of contact for HR & legal questions related to compensation & benefits
• Help structure internal guidelines, templates and standard approaches
• Ensure alignment between legal requirements and day-to-day operations
• Collaborate with external experts when needed

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong expertise in compensation & benefits and social law.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian social law and tax rules related to compensation
• Able to translate complex regulation into clear and pragmatic guidance
• Analytical, structured and hands-on
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment (HR, legal, product, sales)
• Fluent in Dutch and French, with good professional English

PRACTICAL

• Contract: Freelance
• Expected commitment: 3 to 4 days per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Location: Brussels (hybrid)
• Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
