Freelance Rewards Specialist (ref: 26033)

ORGANIZATION

A well-established finance institution based in Brussels. 

YOUR ROLE

In this role, you combine hands-on execution with expert advisory. You take ownership of key reward topics and support the organisation with well-founded compensation decisions.

You operate as a trusted expert within the Rewards domain, combining analytical depth with pragmatic execution.

Concretely, you:

• Take ownership of key Compensation & Benefits processes and deliverables
• Actively contribute to projects on pay transparency and job classification
• Conduct salary benchmarking and position roles within appropriate salary structures
• Perform in-depth compensation analyses and translate them into clear recommendations
• Provide expert advice on reward topics such as salary packages, bonus schemes, benefits, and insurance
• Support decision-making on reward questions (e.g. offers, retention cases, policy choices)
• Contribute to salary reviews and the optimisation of reward frameworks
• Align closely with HR and business stakeholders as a trusted sparring partner
• Act as a point of contact for more compensation-related questions

YOUR PROFILE

• Solid expertise in Compensation & Benefits
• Relevant experience with job classification, salary structures and salary benchmarking
• Able to combine analytical expertise with pragmatic, hands-on execution
• Confident in advising stakeholders and translating data into clear recommendations
• Structured, autonomous, and ownership-driven
• Fluent in French, Dutch, and English

PRACTICAL

• Contract type: Freelance, approx. 7 months (until end of 2026)
• Start date: ASAP
• Work regime: 5 days a week
• Location: Brussels
